High-Temperature Grease

GLEIT-μ® HF 450 is based on an extremely high quality perfluorinated polyether base oil and a high temperature stable GLEIT-μ® white solid lubricant combination. This combination guarantees maximum temperature stability and maximum resistance to all kinds of chemicals. The inert behaviour ensures extremely high compatibility with plastics and elastomers. Use under vacuum is also possible. The very low evaporation behaviour enables a service life in the high temperature range of approx. +200°C, which is far superior to conventional high temperature polyurea greases, high temperature silicone greases and fluorosilicone greases.

Areas of application

The areas of application of GLEIT-μ® HF 450 are applications that cannot be technically fulfilled by any conventional lubricants. The use of GLEIT-μ® HF 450 also makes sense under economic considerations (service life, operational safety, cost savings due to the lack of maintenance work).

Examples of use

  • slow-running roller and ball bearings on conveyor systems for painting systems, on transport chains in the textile industry, on cleaning and washing systems, on kiln cars and baking machines
  • spindles, plugs, ball valves. seals and packings on fittings and valves
  • sliders and actuators on heating devices (also in household technology)
  • printer drives in the high temperature range (laser printer)
  • in precision engineering and photo technology (e.g. projectors)
  • sliding surfaces in the rubber processing industry
  • medical technology

Product characteristics

  • resistant to high temperatures up to +260°C – briefly up to +280°C
  • extremely resistant to chemicals
  • very good compatibility with plastics and elastomers
  • high lubrication performance thanks to GLEIT-μ® WFSS (white solid lubricants)
  • not subject to labelling
  • high pressure resistance
  • long service life in the high temperature range
  • for roller and ball bearings in extreme operating conditions

Oxygen fittings paste

GLEIT-μ® HF 457 is based on an extremely high-quality perfluorinated polyether base oil and a high-temperature stable white solid lubricant combination. This combination guarantees maximum temperature stability and maximum resistance to all kinds of chemicals. The inert behaviour ensures extremely high compatibility with plastics and elastomers. A BAM approval is available for use in the oxygen range.

Areas of application

The areas of application ofGLEIT-μ® HF 457 are applications that cannot be fulfilled technically by any conventional lubricants, such as in an aggressive environment, e.g. for applications in the oxygen range. The use of this high-performance grease also makes sense in terms of economic efficiency (service life, operational reliability, cost savings due to the omission of maintenance work).

Examples of use

  • Initial lubrication of gas valves (especially oxygen valves)
  • Valve lubrication during the maintenance and reconditioning of oxygen gas cylinders
  • Spindles, plugs, ball valves, seals and packings on fittings and valves that are exposed to extreme temperature and pressure loads
