Wessely GmbH has been selling high-performance lubricants and contract coating of bonded coating systems in Austria and neighboring countries since 1975.

The high product quality of the high-performance lubricants we use from our own production, combined with careful advice and punctual delivery service, enables us to supply our customers with the desired products on time.

Industrial products are becoming more and more special and therefore require increasingly special lubricant solutions. From heavily loaded bearings in paper machines to rubber seals in car headlights – every application needs the optimal lubricant solution that we can offer.

1990: Coating of the drive mechanism for one-man helicopter

1960’s: Ing. Johann Wessely works as a representative for specialty lubricants from MOLYKOTE for the Ulbrich company.
1968-1971: Our later company founder moves to Dow Corning and moves to Munich with his family.
1972-1975: A little later, Johann Wessely was transferred to Brussels for Dow Corning and stayed there until 1975.
1975: He then took over the representation for sliding molybdenum for Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
1975: Ing. At the end of 1975, Johann Wessely founded the Wessely OHG in Hetzendorferstrasse, in the 23rd district of Vienna.
1978: Three years later, Johann Wessely’s son Andreas joins the company and begins his apprenticeship as a wholesaler.

1979: In the fourth year after it was founded, the Wessely company moves to Bahnsteggasse in 1210 Vienna.
1982: Wessely OHG becomes Wessely GmbH in the early eighties and Andreas Wessely becomes an official partner.
1983-1989: Andreas Wessely visits the HTL Schellinggasse part-time and successfully completes it. In 1991 he obtained his engineering degree in mechanical engineering.
1986: Wessely GmbH moves to Bisamberg in Lower Austria eleven years after it was founded.
1990: Johann and Andreas Wessely set up their own factory together. Wessely GmbH moves to neighboring Korneuburg at Girakstrasse 1 in the early 1990s.

2000: Patents are applied for for our own brands GLEIT-µ and boltcoat. Wessely GmbH is now selling its own special lubricants and offering its customers private labeling.
2005: Due to the introduction of a quality management system, Wessely GmBH is ISO 9001: 2015 certified for the first time.
2005: Wessely GmbH takes over the representation of HYTORC in Austria and thus also offers connection technology.
2010-2012: HLC Coating in Aisting near Schwertberg will be taken over for two years.

2013:Plant 2 of Wessely GmbH is being built a few house numbers away. In 2014 the office and most of the production will move to Girakstrasse 13. Plant 1 will continue to operate for small quantities.
2014: Wessely GmbH achieves ISO certification 14001: 2015 for the introduction of an environmental management system.
2018: The production of Wessely GmbH is digitized.
2018: Christoph Wessely becomes a lecturer for the Academy of Screw Connections. There he holds seminars on the optimization of screw connections using lubricant systems.
2018-2020: Christoph Wessely is completing a master’s degree in Business Management at the Vienna University of Applied Sciences at WKW and successfully completing it with a Master of Science.

2020: Shell expansion of Plant 2

2019-2020: Plant 2 was expanded to include a further production hall of 500m². The reason for this expansion are further orders from the automotive sector, an area that has been growing steadily for years. A new waste management concept, as well as a larger driveway for semi-trailers, were built to meet the latest standards.
2020: An IMS system is introduced and Wessely GmbH is a Climate Partner with immediate effect. With this step, the company will officially become climate neutral.
2020-2021: The old company headquarters at Girakstrasse 1 is being renovated. Plant 1 of Wessely Ges.m.b.H. becomes the official HYTORC Austria OST location. In addition, special machine construction is being expanded. In the future, maintenance, service and development can be carried out on HYTORC special tools.
A large training room is also available for customer events and internal training courses
The renovation is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2021.
