1960: Johann Wessely precision mechanic in the Shipbuilding Research Institute in Vienna
1990: Coating of the drive mechanism for one-man helicopter
1960’s: Ing. Johann Wessely works as a representative for specialty lubricants from MOLYKOTE for the Ulbrich company.
1968-1971: Our later company founder moves to Dow Corning and moves to Munich with his family.
1972-1975: A little later, Johann Wessely was transferred to Brussels for Dow Corning and stayed there until 1975.
1975: He then took over the representation for sliding molybdenum for Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
1975: Ing. At the end of 1975, Johann Wessely founded the Wessely OHG in Hetzendorferstrasse, in the 23rd district of Vienna.
1978: Three years later, Johann Wessely’s son Andreas joins the company and begins his apprenticeship as a wholesaler.
1985: Coating of a lifting gear for a bridge in Oman
1979: In the fourth year after it was founded, the Wessely company moves to Bahnsteggasse in 1210 Vienna.
1982: Wessely OHG becomes Wessely GmbH in the early eighties and Andreas Wessely becomes an official partner.
1983-1989: Andreas Wessely visits the HTL Schellinggasse part-time and successfully completes it. In 1991 he obtained his engineering degree in mechanical engineering.
1986: Wessely GmbH moves to Bisamberg in Lower Austria eleven years after it was founded.
1990: Johann and Andreas Wessely set up their own factory together. Wessely GmbH moves to neighboring Korneuburg at Girakstrasse 1 in the early 1990s.

2010-2012: HLC Coating in Aisting near Schwertberg will be taken over for two years.
2013: Groundbreaking for Plant 2 at Girakstrasse 13
2014: Plant 2 in Girakstrasse 13
2013:Plant 2 of Wessely GmbH is being built a few house numbers away. In 2014 the office and most of the production will move to Girakstrasse 13. Plant 1 will continue to operate for small quantities.
2014: Wessely GmbH achieves ISO certification 14001: 2015 for the introduction of an environmental management system.
2018: The production of Wessely GmbH is digitized.
2018: Christoph Wessely becomes a lecturer for the Academy of Screw Connections. There he holds seminars on the optimization of screw connections using lubricant systems.
2018-2020: Christoph Wessely is completing a master’s degree in Business Management at the Vienna University of Applied Sciences at WKW and successfully completing it with a Master of Science.
